The Volunteer Center of North Texas helps companies achieve corporate social responsibility goals by matching them with community service projects.
Interstate partners with the center to host Volunteer Days in September when employees work together in groups of 50 on improvement projects such as landscape beautification for public schools. More than 230 team members signed on for various volunteer projects during September 2011.
In 2010 Interstate Batteries earned the center's 2010 Corporate Service Award for its service to the community.
